The Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) is certainly getting a lot of attention given the fact the United States is currently under the worst drought is 50 some years. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 70 percent of the land is used to raise safe and wholesome beef is suffering from drought conditions. The National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) has been on the front line working with other livestock groups and members of Congress to urge the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to follow the law and implement a RFS waiver. Three times this week NCBA has appeared on Fox Business talking about the drought and the need for a RFS waiver. Click here to watch NCBA President J.D. Alexander discuss the drought and click here to watch another episode of Alexander talking about the need for the EPA to address RFS. NCBA Executive Director of Legislative Affairs Kristina Butts also appeared on Fox Business talking about the RFS. We would love to hear your thoughts on this matter, post away!
