Are You the Face of American Agriculture?

Every day, cattlemen work to put food on the table for people around the world not only because it is their livelihood, but their passion as well. Even so, with more and more consumers asking questions about how their food is raised and grown, agriculture needs more farmers and ranchers in the public spotlight to share the personalities, values and passion behind today’s food.

The U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) is looking to give American agriculture that opportunity through their search for the “Faces of Farming and Ranching.”

With a growing number of voices leading the conversations about food, it’s important that those of us actively involved in production agriculture, from a variety of different backgrounds and operation types, speak up and join the conversation.

And in a movement to put a real face on agriculture, USFRA is seeking farmers and ranchers to serve as that face and take part in conversations with influencers and the public through various media outlets.
Chosen winners will have the opportunity to work with USFRA and take part in events such as national media interviews, panel discussions, speaking engagements and web casts.

To be considered, interested candidates need submit a three minute video highlighting themselves and their role on the farm or ranch in addition to a short application. Entries will be accepted through September 8, 2012.
