Angus enthusiasts gathered in Louisville, Kentucky last week for the annual National Junior Angus Show. Over 1500 head were entered prior to the event, with exhibitors in attendance from over 30 states. The week's activities included a number of educational contests, social events, and of course, four days of exhibiting cattle.
However this year's NJAS was unlike any other. Thursday night severe weather hit Louisville, leaving significant damage in it's path. Among those buildings damaged was the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the headquarters hotel for the National Junior Angus Show.
